The timing of this in relation to my birthday is amusing to me because I was born in January, three months prematurely, so I was due in April, now here I am, talking about a three-month late eighteenth birthday gift... For some time I've been wishing and saving up for another new cymbal option, particularly from Dream. I've been interested in the company for some time now, impressed by what I've heard and especially their prices. So this year my two best friends and bandmates helped me out big time to get over the hump and buy that new cymbal. What did I get? My store just recently received a large new shipment of Dreams, so I had a wide selection to choose from. I landed on an 18" Vintage Bliss crash/ride that really drew me in. I love it. It's got a great wash and opens up beautifully when crashed, but can be controlled for decent riding. It feels light and soft under the stick because it's fairly thin and has a smooth, buttery decay.
