Discover the many ways in which The Cajon (Peruvian Box) can be implemented in a nontraditional format. The time has come for this instrument to participate within the percussion section as well as drum-set and different music genders.

•The Class will cover technique for Rock, Country, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Hip Hop and World Music, and how to develop a performance.

•There are no requirements it is open to beginning students as well as advance.

•Bring in your own Cajon and toys or use what we have.

Homero Chavez
He is an Independent Drummer, Percussionist, currently serving as the VP of Outreach for the International Percussive Arts Society in the State of California. Homero has a nontraditional signature Cajon in the market getting great reviews by Latin Beat Magazine and Drum Magazine. He wrote the article El Cajon published by Percussive Notes he also, produced a pod cast for I-tunes and PAS.ORG. His latest CD "El Canto De La Gente" is gotten great reviews in the USA and Mexico. He has toured extensively throughout Asia, Canada, Europe, Middle East, North and South America to many Music and Drum Festivals. As a community member of Pomona CA Homero is an active contributor within the youth movement, promoting percussion activity through programs like “Stomp Kids” and a yearly Summer Camp for disadvantage kids. This summer he will also, do clinics throughout the USA, Mexico and Canada. He endorses Peace Drums, Kotz Tone Cajon, Phatfoot, and Factory Metal Percussion.
