Drumming may be therapeutic for autism
Beat The Odds: Social and Emotional Skill Building Delivered in a Framework of Drumming.
Beat The Odds is a sustainable and ULCA research-based program that may improve such problems as inattention, withdrawn/depression, post-traumatic stress, anxiety, attention deficit/hyperactivity, oppositional defiance and sluggish cognitive tempo. Given that some of these are relevant issues that may affect families raising a child with autism, some families believe this strategy may even be helpful for their children with autism.
