Remo Congratulates 2013 WGI World Champions

 

 

Chino Hills HS won their second consecutive Gold Medal in the PSW division with a score of 95.514 at the WGI World Championships held in Dayton Ohio from April 18th through the 20th. Led by artists Ian Grom and John Mapes, their show entitled, Timeless, a production about sights and sounds that stand the test of time. Congratulations to the rest of the staff and students at Chino Hills HS on another amazing season.

 

RCC won the Silver Medal in the PIW division with a score of 97.425.

Led by artist Sean Vega, their show entitled, State of the Arts, a production about the state of fine arts in within the education system. Congratulations to director Gary Locke, the entire staff and members on an outstanding season.

 

Ayala HS led by Ike Jackson and Sean Gordon won the Silver Medal in the PSW division with their show entitled, Fallen.

 

Father Ryan HS led by Derek, Dustin, and Jeff Schletzer won the Bronze Medal in PSW with their show called, Do NOT…Try This at Home.

 

Remo congratulates the following WGI ensembles who depend on Remo for their superior sound.

 

Rounding out the rest of the PIW division were, Matrix (Rob Ferguson), Pulse Percussion (John Mapes and Ian Grom) United Percussion (Chad Moore, Esq), Infinity (Tom Hurst), Blue Knights (Jason Keeling), Minnesota Brass, (Joel Matuzak) Palmetto Percussion, (Joel Gardner)

 

Additional Remo PSW finalists include, Dartmouth HS (Tom Aungst) Center Grove HS (Josh Torres), Rowland HS (Eric Shriver) 

 

Orange County Independent Percussion led by Sean Cunningham and Pete Sapadin won the Silver Medal in the PIO division with their show entitled, The Road.

 

Additional PIO finalists include, Atlanta Quest (Ben Smart) Wake Forest, (Teddy Holcomb) River City Rhythm, (Beau Hansen) Green Thunder (Dave Dombeck)

PSO finalists include, Trumbull HS (Thomas Whitmoyer), Dorman HS (Jonathan Duke), Clearbrook HS (Dusty Norris) Norwalk HS (Chris Rivera)

 

Vegas Vanguard led by Brian Howerton, won the Silver Medal in the PIA division with their show entitled, Ascend.

 

Spirit of America led by Ian Hale won the Bronze Medal in the PIA division with their show entitled, Perpetual Cycles.

 

 

Additional PIA Finalists Include, Ancient City Ensemble (Laura Beard)

 

 

 

Clinton HS led by Kevin Whelborn won the Silver Medal in the PSA division with their show entitled, “Listen”.

 

 

Additional PSA finalists include:Mechanicsburg HS (Brian Stockard)

 

The Ayala HS concert percussion ensemble led by, Sean Gordon, and Ike Jackson took home the Silver medal in the PSCW division with their show entitled, Beautiful Era.

Muscle Shoals HS led by David Waters won the Bronze Medal in the PSCW division. With their show entitled, School for Scandal.
