| Remo® fills positions in Marketing Department
Valencia, CA - REMO, Inc. is pleased to announce the hiring of Professor Johnny Lee Lane as Director of Educational Marketing and Bruce
Jacoby as Manager of Marching and Education.
Professor Lane is one the
nation’s foremost college percussion educators. He has taught at Tennessee State University, Eastern Illinois University, and Indiana University at UIPUI. He was the founder and host of the United States Percussion
Camp which had over 300 students and 37 faculty members. Lane continues to be
the percussion consultant and teacher of the Tennessee State University drumline in Nashville, TN. As a devout educator, Lane has taught and inspired
percussion students for over 33 years.
Professor Lane, with the US
Percussion Camp, appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America”. He also led the 2004
Tournament of Roses Parade, playing the world’s largest drum by REMO.
Bruce Jacoby is a graduate
of the University of Miami School of Music. He studied percussion and drumset
under Fred Wickstrom, Harry Hawthorne and Steve Rucker. In addition to being a
drumhead development consultant to REMO, Inc. for more than ten years, Mr.
Jacoby served as a highly regarded drum technician to many of the world’s top
drummers and percussionists. His experience encompasses marching, orchestral,
world percussion, education, drum set, recording and live performance. His
travels have taken him to more than 30 countries on six continents, as well as
performances at The White House, The Grammy Awards and The Academy Awards.
