Remo Belli Awarded MIPA Lifetime Achievement Award
Powersonic Bassdrum Head wins Best Drumhead

At the special MIPA-Party/Awards-Ceremony held during Musikmesse / Prolight + Sound, March 29th, 2007, 107 magazines from all over the world together voted for the best products of 2006/2007, in more than 40 categories.
The MIPA Musikmesse International Press Award has now become the "Grammy" of the Musical Instrument/Pro Audio industry.

At the MIPA awards were more than 300 international representatives of manufacturers and distributors of musical instruments and audio equipment for the 8th MIPA Awards Show including guests from the USA, Canada, Japan, Brazil, South Africa, Russia, Poland, Great Britain, Italy, France, Greece, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland and Germany.

The award in the Drumhead category was awarded to Remo for the Powersonic Bassdrum Heads. Runners-up were the Aquarian Super-2 Drumhead and Attack Jeff Ocheltree Old School drumheads. The Award was collected by Remo President, Brock Kaericher, and European Sales Director, Gary Mann. Kaericher said during his acceptance speech “ that the company was delighted to receive this MIPA award and thanked those involved in the products development”.

At the end of the awards and finale of the event the MIPA Musikmesse International Press Awards 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Remo Founder and Chairman Remo D. Belli. Prior to the award John Goode of DW paid glowing praise on Remo’s contribution over 50 years in the percussion industry.
