There is no specific pitch a djembe should be tuned to. It depends on the size and use of the drum, and if you’re playing solo or accompaniment. Most djembes are tuned to your liking, whether you want your drum to be tuned high or low. That is the beauty of the drum - no two sound alike, so parts can sing clearly.
