Continuing Education Credits

HealthRHYTHMS Group Empowerment Drumming Facilitator Training is pre-approved for continuing education credits which are required to maintain credentialing for board certification in:

• Music Therapy – 15.0 CMTE Credits by The Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT)
• Counseling – 15.0 CE Credits by National Board for Certified Counselors through CBMT

A certificate of completion is awarded to each participant at the close of the training which confirms the completion of 15 hours of training. Other organizations have accepted our certificate in the past for professional development credit. Check with your organization. (For example CAADAC for Drug & Alcohol Counselors)

Due to new requirements from the ANCC we have chosen not to offer contact hours for nurses after August, 2008. These new regulations would require us to remove the branding from the program which is the tool we use to help others differentiate this evidence-based strategy from other programs which have not been developed with the same scientific scrutiny. Additional requirements would have had the end result of significantly increasing our cost which would have to be passed along to participants through a dramatic price increase.
