Rhythm Wellness and YOU!™

Enhancing Well-being Through The Experience of Drumming

Through our new initiative, Rhythm Wellness and YOU!™, Remo Inc. will be hosting rhythmic experiences of all kinds that enhance wellbeing of individuals and communities.

“It’s time to stop thinking of the drum as just a musical instrument. Start thinking of it as a unifying tool for every family, a recreational tool for every community, a wellness tool for every retiree, and an educational tool for every classroom.”

- Remo D. Belli, Founder, Remo Inc.

Over 30 years ago, Remo Belli, founder of Remo Inc., heard about the drum circle movement and became curious about how drumming was impacting ordinary individuals, many of whom had never played music before.

In order to learn more about this phenomenon he contacted facilitators, music therapists and others and after many thoughtful conversations and personal reflection Remo made a long term commitment to supporting what was then a very small but vital movement.

Through support for training programs like Village Music Circles, and research that lead to the Remo HealthTHYHMS protocol training, Beat the Odds training and others, and the development of instruments specifically for use in drum circles and therapeutic activities, Remo Inc., following Remo Belli’s inspiration and vision, began the journey that has made Remo an integral part of this fast growing global movement.

Our new initiative, Rhythm Wellness and YOU!, is both the embodiment of Remo Belli’s original vision and philosophy and a place for all of Remo Inc.’s activities, programs and partnerships.

In the coming weeks and months Rhythm Wellness and YOU! will present online drum circles, play along videos, lessons and more. We will host some amazing presenters and will create some wonderful events ourselves. There will be open community events as well as opportunities for specific members of our community to engage in active music making; older adults, kids, special needs and more.

Playful and engaging, these online activities are accessible to absolutely everyone, no music experience is required, and you can join us from your own home or workplace.
