FAQ

Custom Graphic Banjo Heads
Does Remo Offer Custom Graphic Banjo Heads?

‍Yes, Remo does offer custom graphic banjo heads. Our banjo heads are the highest quality heads in the market. We do not use stickers, decals or print ink on the surface of the film. The images are permanently embedded into the structure of the film which eliminates the chance of pealing, ripping, or damaging the image before playing through the head itself. With Remo custom graphic banjo heads you get the sound and the durability of a standard banjo head. Remo's graphic heads are far superior to all other graphic heads and can be played and sound great. These are not just for looks. Graphic banjo heads are offered in the standard thickness and your choice of Suede(matte) finish or standard glossy. These are available in all of the banjo sizes we offer in 8" diameter through 12 1/8" and in all three collar heights of Low(3/8"), Medium(7/16") and High(1/2").

Measuring Banjo Drumheads
How do I properly measure my Banjo Drumhead?

The diameter of a banjo head is measured inner-flesh-hoop to inner-flesh hoop of the head (you'll need to take the head off to take accurate measurement...flip the head over to measure the inner dimension(ID)). The measurement must be exact as we go off 1/16" increments. The Collar or 'Crown' height is measured top of the flesh-hoop (aluminum hoop of the head) to top of the playing surface of the head. Standard heights are: low-3/8", medium-7/16", high-1/2".When attempting to measure a head that had been installed on a banjo measurements can be unreliable due to the stretching of the collar. It is always best to contact the manufacturer of the banjo to get the correct size banjo head for your model. When that option is not available we recommend consulting a retailer with experience servicing banjos.
