Jerod Boyd started playing drums in 2005 when he was 14 years old, learning mostly punk songs by bands like Green Day and Blink 182. When he got into his first band, Miss May I, the band slowly became heavier and heavier until they were satisfied with their metalcore sound. Their main influences are As I Lay Dying and In Flames. Miss May I has been touring religiously for one and a half years now under Rise Records. They have two full length albums out: Apologies Are For The Weak and their newest release Monument.
