Scott Thomas has been working as a percussion educator, composer, performer, clinician, and consultant since 1996.
Currently, Scott works as a percussion arranger and consultant for band programs and ensembles across the country. Most recently, he was the Director of Percussion Education and arranger for Orange High School in Hillsborough, North Carolina, and Apex Friendship High School in Apex, North Carolina.
Mr. Thomas is the former Director of Percussion Education and arranger for Eastern Randolph High School, West Johnston High School, and George Washington High School in Danville, Virginia. He has also been in charge of starting and building numerous percussion programs over the years.
Scott also has experience in the drum corps and indoor activity as a performer, arranger, and instructor. He has taught and arranged for many successful high school programs and has led all of his groups to award-winning seasons. His groups have accumulated many first-place and high percussion awards, along with a DCA High Percussion Title.
Scott is an Independent artist with Dynasty Percussion, Remo Drumheads, Vic Firth Sticks, and Sabian Cymbals.
Outside of his career in music, Scott helps run the family business, along with designing logos and websites for a range of clients.
