Marc Slutsky was a founding member of alternative rock band Splender (1998-2003). Splender recorded two albums; 1999's Halfway Down the Sky (Columbia Records) produced by Todd Rundgren, and To Whom it May Concern produced by Mark Endert on Clive Davis' J Records in 2001. The band had two hit singles “I think God Can Explain” and “Yeah Whatever”. Splender toured extesivly with bands such as Third Eye Blind, The Goo Goo Dolls, Train and Vertical Horizon. While in Splender, he also earned the respect and admiration of his drumming peers, receiving write-ups in Modern Drummer magazine.

After Splender, Slutsky focused on touring and recording as a session drummer. He has worked with a wide variety notable artists and producers.

He has appeared extensively on TV including shows such as X-Factor, The View, Good Morning America, Queen Latifah Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Last Call with Carson Daily, Late Show with David Letterman, Wendy Williams Show, 2010 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting (NBC) with Kylie Minogue, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. 

Marc also offers the service of providing custom drum tracks recorded in his Los Angeles studio. Via the internet, he records for artist/producers all over the world.
