" I have played Remo heads since I was 11 years old, and will continue to play them for the rest of my life.  The primary inspiration and foundation of my sound and style is the classic jazz, rock and R&B records of the 1950s and 60s.  While all of those legendary drummers used different brands of drums and cymbals, Remo Ambassador Coated are the consistent element in defining the era's sound.  It is simply a given that these heads would also be my choice.  Also, so much of the brush technique I utilize is based on the sound and response I get from the coating on the Remo heads - I couldn't do what I do without them!
