Ryan Hall is an experienced and active educator, designer, producer, musician, and clinician. Ryan is currently Associate Director of Bands, Percussion Director at Clover High School in Clover, South Carolina. Under Ryan's direction, the Clover High School Indoor Drumline has won two championships. CWEA 2018 PSA Champions, and most recently, 2022 WGI PSA World Champions.

He previously served as a Graduate Assistant for the Blue Thunder Marching Band at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. While at Boise State Ryan worked as an educator with numerous high school programs, Boise State percussion ensemble, Symphonic Winds, All-Campus Band, Treasure Valley Concert Band, and composed for the Blue Thunder Marching Band and the Boise State Winter Drum Line. Ryan is also an active music arranger and has composed arrangements for the University of Virginia Marching Cavaliers.

Ryan graduated from Western Carolina University in 2016 with his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. While at Western, Ryan participated in percussion ensemble, Asheville Symphony Orchestra (AIR), Wind Ensemble, Purple Thunder, Technology Ensemble, and Pride of the Mountains Marching Band. Ryan was awarded Pride of the Mountains rookie of the year, sophomore of the year, and MVP of the year in 2014. Ryan also served on staff as the Western Carolina drum line snare captain (14’, 15’).

A 2011 alumnus of Freedom High School in Morganton, North Carolina, Ryan began his marching career on snare drum with Carolina Gold (10’, 11’). WGI experience includes snare drum with Wake Forest Independent in 2011. Ryan went on to march with the Phantom Regiment snare line in 2012 (3rd place), and then spent his last two years marching snare in DCI with Carolina Crown 2013 (World Champions) and aging out with Crown in 2014.

Ryan has served on percussion staff with numerous high schools in North Carolina, and WGI open class group Civitás Independent from Rock Hill, SC in 2016 and 2019. Ryan also served as the 2018 Front Ensemble Technician for the Columbians Drum and Bugle Corps from Pasco, Washington. Ryan is a proud endorser of Remo drumheads, Pearl/Adams Percussion, Vic Firth products, and a member of the Vic Firth Education Team.

During his career, Ryan has studied with Thom Hannum, Shane Gwaltney, Glen Crosby, Dr. Brian Tinkel, Dr. Mario Gaetano, Sharif Mamoun, Zach Schlicher, Andrew Barlow, Ian Hale, Bill Bachman, Andrew Markworth, Matt Henley, Mark Hunter, Justin Mabry, Emory Hensley, Dr. John Baldwin, Mr. Marcellus Brown, Dr. Joe Tornello, and David Starnes.
