Founded in Garfield, New Jersey in 1934, The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps were among the most decorated corps in history and were the oldest drum corps in existence until 2024. Boasting one of the largest communities in the marching arts, The Cadets alumni include many legendary figures in the drum corps world.
Beginning as The Holy Name Cadets, they won 10 American Legion National Championships and 10
Drum Corps International (DCI) World Championships, most recently in 2011.
Pushing the boundaries in music, drill, design, and technology, The Cadets helped establish the standards for modern drum corps. Over the years, the Cadets staff featured Remo endorsement artists including Tom Aungst, Neil Larrivee, Colin McNutt, Iain Moyer, Jason Ihnat, Ian Hale, Ron Lambert, Lee Beddis, James Sparling, Travis Peterman, and many others, who helped develop, test, and expand Remo’s vast line of marching products which have become the industry standard.
Remo is proud to have been a partner with The Cadets, promoting not only drum corps but community outreach and youth development. Sadly, on April 2, 2024, after 90 years in existence, The Cadets announced they would cease operations.
